🎉 Care Certificate Celebration at Glebe House! 🌟
Glebe House proudly celebrated a special moment as Helinah was presented with the Care Certificate from CEO Rich and Home Manager Natalia. 👏📜
This achievement marks an important milestone in her professional development, demonstrating dedication, growth, and a strong commitment to delivering high‑quality care to our residents.
The presentation was a joyful moment for everyone involved, and we are incredibly proud of Helinah for their hard work and achievement. 💛
🎨✨ A Beautiful Piece of Glebe House History! ✨🎨
The lovely artwork was drawn by a local gentleman, Mr John, who once played the organ for St Mary’s Church in Almondsbury and Pilning Church. He also attended Sunday School at Glebe House many years ago, back when Glebe served as a vicarage. 🕊️⛪
John originally created this drawing for Pat, the mother‑in‑law of our wonderful team member Sandra. Sandra felt it would be a wonderful idea to restore the picture and place it in Glebe House, as it represents a meaningful piece of our home’s history and heritage. ❤️🏡
We’re delighted to share that the picture is now beautifully displayed on the first floor for all our residents, staff, and visitors to enjoy. It’s a lovely reminder of the deep roots Glebe House has within the local community.

Meanwhile, our residents enjoyed a day full of warmth, cheer, and delightful company. It was a beautiful celebration that brought everyone a little closer, making the day truly special for all.

Bristol Care Homes recently hosted a Visual Impairment Training session on 26th February at Quarry House, delivered by the wonderful team from Sight Support Charity. 👓💙
Staff from all Bristol Care Homes – along with carers from other organisations – took part in this valuable session. The training equipped teams with practical skills to support residents living with visual challenges, helping them provide safer, more confident, and more compassionate care.

🌸💖 The Love Tree Blooms at Quarry House! 💖🌸
Our Love Tree at Quarry House has been a beautiful highlight, bringing smiles, memories, and heartfelt moments to everyone in our community.
Staff, residents, family members – and even students from the Met School– took the time to write meaningful messages to or about their loved ones, both present and those we hold in our hearts. 💕🌿
The tree has become a touching space for reflection, connection, and celebration of the people who mean the most to us. It’s been wonderful to see the warmth and emotion shared by all who contributed.
At Quarry House, we cherish these moments that bring our community closer together. 💛

✨ Field House Supports Ramadan ✨
Field House was proud to support colleagues and community members observing Ramadan.
During this holy month, Muslims fast daily from sunrise to sunset (around 5:20 am–5:20 pm in the UK). Fasting can make colleagues feel tired, dizzy, or dehydrated, especially in a warm environment, so we kindly ask everyone to offer understanding and support throughout the day.
Field House is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for all. ✨
🤝 Strengthening Community Connections at Field House
We were delighted to meet with Maria, Community Activator at Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, to explore new ways we can collaborate for the benefit of our residents and the wider community.
The meeting brought together members of our Activities Team and Marketing Team, who discussed shared goals, community engagement opportunities, and future collaborative projects that will help enrich the lives of those we support.
This partnership opens exciting possibilities for intergenerational activities, community events, and wellbeing initiatives – all aimed at creating stronger connections between our homes and the local area.
We look forward to building this relationship further and working together to make a positive impact. 🌟🏡💛

Company Spotlights: Celebrating Excellence, Sustainability & Creativity
We have been awarded the Employer of Excellence Award by BCE – a fantastic recognition of our commitment to supporting, developing, and valuing our teams. A huge well done to everyone who helped make this achievement possible.
We’re also proud to be taking a greener step forward through our new partnership with Hills Waste Solutions, helping us improve recycling, reduce emissions, and move closer to our sustainability goals.
Meanwhile, our brilliant kitchen teams enjoyed a hands‑on Cake Decorating, Biscuit Making & Cupcake Course, bringing new skills – and plenty of creativity – back into our homes.
Review Of The Month
My extremely frail stepmother moved into Beech House in August 2024. On admission, a full GP health assessment considered her life expectancy to be weeks rather than months. Then a new regime started which triggered her amazing recovery. Over the first weeks, instead of weakening, she gained strength (probably due to discovering the very tasty food – a reason in itself for her not giving in!).
I cannot praise enough the care that followed over the whole period of her tenure. Even when dementia demons made her difficult, I was assured she would still be welcome to stay through to the end of her life, which was a tremendous relief to us all.
She died in December 2025, peacefully in her bed with family alongside – over 16 months after the initial 3‑week prognosis.
Beech House is a wonderful place. The whole team, led by the Manager and supported by the incredible nursing staff, can all be trusted to give fantastic care to your loved one, even to the end of their life.
