At Bristol Care Homes, we believe in creating meaningful experiences that go beyond everyday care. That’s why we are proud to continue our support of the Annual Care Homes Concert at Bristol Beacon – a much‑loved event that brings the joy of live music to residents across the region.

We are delighted to invite care home communities, families, and partners to this year’s concert:

🎶 A Special Invitation

We are delighted to invite you to a special concert for care homes on
Tuesday 16 June at 2pm at Bristol Beacon, where the internationally renowned Aurora Orchestra – well known for their BBC Proms performances – will perform Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony.

Aurora Orchestra performs entirely from memory, without sheet music, allowing them to move freely around the space and connect directly with the audience. This creates a truly immersive and engaging experience, particularly meaningful for older people and those living with dementia.

Their performances also incorporate elements of storytelling and drama, bringing the music to life in a powerful and memorable way. The concert will last for one hour, making it accessible and enjoyable for all.

Why This Matters

We have proudly supported this event for several years because we understand the incredible impact music can have on the wellbeing of care home residents.

Live music can:

  • Spark memories and conversation
  • Lift mood and reduce anxiety
  • Encourage connection between residents, families, and staff
  • Create moments of joy that stay with people long after the performance ends

For many residents, attending a live concert is not something easily accessible, which is why initiatives like this are so important.

A Partnership That Makes a Difference

This concert is part of Bristol Beacon’s Creative Health & Wellbeing programme, designed to improve quality of life and reduce loneliness through the arts.

As a long‑standing partner and sponsor, Bristol Care Homes is proud to help make this initiative possible – not only for our own residents, but for care home communities across the wider Bristol area.

As our Chairman, Geoff Crocker, highlights:

“We are proud to support this concert, which brings the joy of live music directly to residents. Opportunities like this create meaningful moments of connection, enjoyment, and shared experience for residents and their families.”

Looking Ahead

Supporting events like this reflects our wider commitment to wellbeing, community, and enriching daily life within our homes.

We look forward to another unforgettable afternoon of music – and to continuing our role in bringing these special experiences to the people we care for here at Bristol Care Homes and other care homes.
