November has been a month filled with heartwarming moments and special connections at Glebe House. Here’s what’s been happening:

💖 Celebrating Our Carers
This week, the management team at Glebe House took a moment to honour the incredible work of our carers.

Their dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts to enrich the lives of residents were celebrated with heartfelt thanks. A big shoutout to our amazing team – you are truly the heart of our home!

🎭 Busy Days and New Friendships
Residents enjoyed a lively performance by the talented Phillip, which brought music and laughter to all. The weekly trip to The Bowl Inn got an extra boost of excitement as Home Manager Natalia and Deputy Manager Nathan joined the residents for the day. Quarry House had a magical November filled with many events:

Appreciation Time
Thank you to Mihaela for meeting up with the new suppliers for fish and meat. The fish and meat are organic and sourced locally. Both residents and staff benefit from the high-quality produce and variety of meals served each day at Quarry House.

Congratulations
A huge congratulations to Sarah. Following her receipt of the Front Line Nursing Award at the Annual Care Awards in September, Sarah was additionally nominated and successfully awarded the Social Care Nurse Award for the Great British Care Award South West Region. Next stage: the Nationals on 14th March 2025, Birmingham.

Goodbyes
Goodbye, and good luck to Zsanette and her family. Zsanette has decided not to return to her post as lead housekeeper at Quarry House following a period of maternity leave. Nataliia has been covering the maternity leave post and has successfully secured the role full-time. We welcome Nataliia into this permanent role with open arms.

In-house Training
Training and feeling competent remains a high priority within our home – Weekly Ski sheet and Raizer training and competencies have commenced and will be part of a rolling program over the forthcoming months for all care staff to ensure all of the care staff feel confident and competent to support residents following a fall.

Thank you all for making yet another great month here at Quarry House.

November has been a month full of special moments, meaningful activities, and heartfelt celebrations at Field House. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:

🎉 Celebrating Shahira’s Incredible Achievement!
A huge congratulations to Shahira on becoming a fully qualified Registered Nurse! 🩺🎉

After starting her journey with Bristol Care Homes in 2014, Shahira completed her Nurse Associate Training and pursued her dream of becoming a General Nurse. CEO Rich Crocker presented her with gifts to celebrate her achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of her dedication and passion for care. Shahira is an inspiration to us all, and this milestone is a testament to her perseverance and commitment to excellence! 👏✨

🌺 Remembrance Day Reflections and Creativity
Field House marked Remembrance Day with heartfelt tributes from our residents. Everyone took part in crafting beautiful poppies using paper plates, paint, and felt, filling the room with creativity and connection. These lovely poppies were displayed around the home on green ribbons, creating a touching tribute. We also observed the two-minute silence, with residents proudly showcasing their handmade poppies. It was a meaningful and reflective day for all involved. 🌺

🎉 A Month of Joyful Activities
It’s been a month filled with fun and connection at Field House! Ann enjoyed an outing to her social group, where she reconnected with friends and experienced a boost in her well-being. Back at the home, Tracey hosted a lively bingo game, which was a hit with residents – and even Martyn, our maintenance man, joined in for some extra fun! The week was full of laughter, camaraderie, and cherished moments that brightened everyone’s day. 🤗

Thank you to everyone for making these experiences so special. We’re looking forward to more wonderful moments as we head into December! 💙

Review Of The Month – Field House

Field House is a credit to staff, management, carers, cleaners, activity and maintenance, and gardeners.

The gardens and plants are outstanding. The home is spotless and very welcoming. Everyone is very approachable and caring.

The way my mum’s eyes lit up when carers and staff entered her room (which was spotless) was a great comfort to us.

There are activities and day trips. Visiting at Christmas was magical, the decorations were outstanding and Christmas day fun.

Mum was treated with love and dignity right to the end which we are truly grateful for. Thank you Field House, you are all amazing.
