Field House Care Home

Field House has been buzzing with meaningful activities and events recently, bringing joy and connection to our residents!

Creature Cuddles Animal Visit
Creature Cuddles Animal Handling had a heartwarming impact when visiting our residents. Melissa brought along a delightful selection of animals, including a Pomeranian cross Chihuahua, a bearded dragon, a rat, and a tortoise. Residents loved cuddling the dog, reminiscing about their own pets, and learning about each animal. For those unable to leave their rooms, Melissa made bedside visits, creating memorable experiences that sparked joy and comfort. One resident, missing her own Pomeranian, was thrilled to snuggle the visiting pup under her duvet – such a special moment!

Outing to Seven Beach
Taking advantage of the lovely weather, residents enjoyed a trip to Seven Beach, a delightful outing postponed earlier. It was a day filled with sunshine, sea views, and relaxation.

Musical Entertainment
Damien, known for his personal musical touch, visited Field House this week, providing one-on-one entertainment that had residents singing along. One resident even joined him for an Elvis song! Lizzie, our talented harpist, also returned, performing in the common areas and bringing the calming notes of her harp to residents’ rooms for a personal serenade.

Trips to Bowling and Portishead
Two exciting trips were added to the lineup. Residents enjoyed a bowling outing, which was a new experience for some, and then a lunch and walk in Portishead on a sunny day, uplifting everyone’s spirits.

Church Service with Margaret
Our residents enjoyed a lovely church service, including a personal blessing and communion for those in need. Margaret’s thoughtful approach ensured every resident felt valued, with special visits and a new, more accessible service booklet for all to enjoy.

Saxophone Serenade
Alan visited to perform with his tenor and alto saxophones, entertaining residents with classics from ABBA to Glenn Miller. Residents gathered to enjoy this lively performance, which added even more warmth and joy to their week.

Thank you to everyone who made these experiences possible for our residents – it’s moments like these that make Field House a truly special home.
