It’s been an incredible and heartwarming holiday season at Glebe House, filled with special moments and festive cheer. Here are some highlights:
Judy’s Generosity Shines Bright: On her day off, Judy, our wonderful admin assistant, hosted a group of residents at her home in Clevedon for a delightful lunch. Complete with a delicious buffet, Christmas music, crackers, and her granddaughter Amelia’s warm presence, the day was a true celebration of joy and togetherness. Thank you, Judy and Amelia, for your kindness!

Festive Entertainment: Residents were treated to a lively lineup of performances this week, including Christmas carols by 30 children from Almondsbury School, talented singers Johnny and Chris, and a beautiful piano recital by Katie. The home has been buzzing with festive energy!
Magical Nativity Play: Louisa, our talented activity provider, brought Christmas magic to residents with a bedside light-up nativity play. Her heartfelt and inclusive approach ensured everyone could enjoy the festivities. Thank you, Louisa, for going above and beyond!
Christmas Day and Beyond: The residents celebrated with a festive lunch, a beautifully presented cake, and the King’s Christmas Speech. Boxing Day featured a village walk and fun puzzles and games, keeping spirits bright throughout the holidays.
Snow Queen Farewell: Glebe House hosted the final performance of the touring Snow Queen pantomime, bringing together residents, staff, families, and children for one last festive hurrah before the new year.
Thank you to everyone who made this season so special. Here’s to an even brighter 2025! 🎄❤️
Quarry House has been extremely, but joyfully busy over the past few weeks preparing for the festive period.
Residents from Quarry Court, Quarry House and staff members performed two successful performances for the “Christmas Serenade” which was also streamed live on Facebook. Staff and residents thoroughly enjoyed performing a variety of musical acts, nativity acts and poems. The feedback from staff, residents and family members were all positive reviews. The head office celebrated the performances with us.
Let’s all wait and see what’s in store for 2025!

A Big thank you to all of the staff at Quarry House for all the hard work and commitment that has been displayed over the past year. Without your support and engagement Quarry House would not be the vibrant and welcoming environment that we have all come to love.
As a way of showing our appreciation, we have a wide selection of Christmas gifts for each staff member. The gifts have been well received.

Jeremy’s Return: Welcome back, Jeremy, from your trip to Australia! The timing couldn’t have been better for a week filled with celebrations.
Christmas Fair Success: Tracey and the team worked tirelessly to decorate the home beautifully for the Christmas fair. Residents enjoyed mince pies, mulled wine, and Baileys while shopping for thoughtful gifts. Carly and Sky’s support made the event seamless, and Tracey and Jeremy ensured even residents in their rooms were part of the joy.
Musical Treats: Residents were serenaded by Laurence and enjoyed lively singalongs with John Pendlington’s Christmas classics. Chris Auburn’s performance also brought smiles and festive spirit to everyone.

Special Performances: Rebecca, dressed as Mrs Claus, sang Christmas classics and resident favourites, while Steve from Memory Lane dazzled with magic and humour.
Memorable Outings and Carol Service: Some residents enjoyed a delightful Christmas lunch outing, and Christy, one of our senior nurses, hosted a carol service with her church group. The lounge was filled with singing, laughter, and gratitude, creating a magical and heartfelt atmosphere. Residents unable to join in were visited in their rooms, ensuring everyone felt the holiday spirit.
From all the residents and staff at Field House, we wish you a joyful start to the new year! ⭐️🎄❤️

Creative Calendar Crafting: Residents enjoyed designing their own 2025 New Year calendars, creating unique montages for each month using a variety of themed pictures. It was a fun and engaging way to express their creativity. ❤️

Colouring for the New Year: Over one weekend, residents and staff collaborated on a New Year-themed colouring activity, decorating pictures of fireworks and “2025.” These beautiful works of art, along with New Year’s resolutions, will be displayed around the home. The activity was filled with laughter, music, and joy.

Review Of The Month – Quarry House
From the moment Mum was brought under your care we were impressed, and we had previous care home experience with another care home group.
The attention to detail was evident when we brought in clothes, and you took them away to mark and hang in the wardrobe.
The room was decorated beautifully, with big windows
with natural light, great purpose for needs bathroom – homely.
The staff were fantastic and said we could visit at any time – and they were welcoming – every aspect of Mum’s health was attended to. She never wanted to go back to the hospital – her final resting place and felt like her home – Ocean – grateful forever.
