Field House was full of festive fun as we celebrated Elf Day in support of the Alzheimer’s Society! Staff and residents joined in the spirit by dressing up in cheerful elf costumes, spreading smiles and laughter throughout the home.
The day was packed with activities and plenty of photo opportunities, creating a joyful atmosphere while raising awareness for such an important cause. From festive games to delicious treats, everyone played their part in making this event a success.

This festive season, our wonderful Claire decided to treat the team to something a little different—a delightful surprise that wasn’t the usual box of chocolates! 🤣

A Festive Visit from Jigsaw Thornbury at Beech House
We were delighted to welcome Jigsaw Thornbury to Beech House for their Christmas Variety Show! Their amazing young volunteers filled the home with festive cheer through joyful carols, a fun quiz, and plenty of laughter.
To make the occasion even more special, they gifted our residents handmade Christmas cards, which were received with big smiles and warm hearts.
It was truly inspiring to see these talented young people perform and share their creativity. At Beech House, we’re proud to support our local community and help boost the confidence of these future stars.
Festive Fun at Our Christmas Fayre 🎄❤️
What a fabulous afternoon we had at our Christmas Fayre! Residents, staff, and families came together to enjoy a truly festive celebration filled with laughter and joy.
There were plenty of treats and activities to enjoy, including homemade cards, tree decorations, and marmalade for sale, plus lots of excitement at the tombola stand as guests checked for winning tickets.
Our pop-up Photo Booth was a big hit, with everyone choosing fun boppers and glasses before striking a pose! With Christmas music playing in the background, guests tucked into mince pies and mulled wine while playing festive games like Hook the Bauble, Pin the Nose on the Reindeer, and Biscuit Pong.
We were lucky to have Claire running our tombola stall and a very special visit from mini-Santa CJ, who came along with Mum Carly. He was adorable and loved by all our residents!
And upstairs? Well, there was a little mischief… a lineup of naughty elves had been caught at the crisps! They just can’t be trusted! 😊

We were delighted to take part in the Christmas Tree Festival at St Arilda’s Church in Oldbury!
Our residents shared their favourite activities, which were beautifully displayed on our tree alongside heartfelt wishes for a happy and peaceful Christmas to all visitors.
A Magical Afternoon at Beech House Christmas Party 🎄✨
It was our yearly Residents’ Christmas Party, and it was nothing short of magical. All our lovely residents received a special present from Santa and his team, making the day extra festive.
With Christmas music playing, the atmosphere was full of cheer. We were treated to a special visit from Fran and her two adorable reindeer doggos, Lucie and Susie, who brought smiles to everyone’s faces!
Guests enjoyed fun activities like Christmas charades and tucked into delicious party treats, including Pringles, gingerbread men, and maybe even a cheeky gin and tonic! 😄

We said goodbye to Nurse Jo, a much-loved and valued member of our team. Over the past year, Jo has shown incredible dedication, kindness, and commitment to both our residents and colleagues. Her hard work and compassion have truly made a difference at our home.

Celebrating National Elf Day at Glebe House! 🧝♀️✨
Glebe House was full of festive fun as we celebrated National Elf Day! Our Home Manager, Natalia, and Activities Coordinator, Tracy, came up with a brilliant idea to mark this special occasion—creating two amazing boards featuring our entire team in cheerful elf costumes!
From residents to management, activities team, chefs, kitchen assistants, domestic and laundry staff, nurses, care staff, team leaders, admin, nurse associates, minibus driver, carers, night staff, and night nurses—everyone got involved to make this day truly magical.
The boards are beautifully decorated and proudly displayed in The Orchard and upstairs for all to enjoy. 💕⭐

We’re thrilled to introduce a very special new member of the Glebe House family… Sarah Carer Bear, our Head Bear!
Sarah was lovingly created by our talented carer Kelly, using scrap materials generously donated by our wonderful families. This beautiful creation proves that with a little creativity (and a lot of heart), something truly special can come to life.
She’s full of cuddles, always smiling, and ready to welcome you whenever you visit Glebe House. Be sure to say hello next time you’re in!

The raffle featured a stunning selection of luxurious Christmas hampers, packed with seasonal treats and goodies—creating plenty of excitement as everyone waited to see who would take home these festive prizes.
To make the occasion even more special, guests enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies, adding a delicious touch to the celebration. The aroma of warm spices and sweet pastry filled the air, perfectly complementing the cheerful chatter and holiday music playing in the background.

• Head Chef Hany has successfully completed his Level 3 qualification with distinction—a fantastic achievement that reflects his hard work and passion for excellence.
• Sarah has achieved her Level 2 qualification and has already moved on to Level 3, showing amazing commitment to her professional growth.
• Clement has proudly earned his Care Certificate, marking an important milestone in his career.
• Our night carer Sally, has completed her Care Certificate! We are so proud of you, Sally, and of everyone who continues to strive for excellence in care.

Review Of The Month – Quarry House
When you walk in the front door, you are immediately made welcome, and the whole atmosphere of the place is peaceful and running on very well-oiled wheels!
The nursing staff and the carers are all very friendly and helpful, not just to the resident but also to the resident’s next of kin.
The food is good, and there are plenty of activities for patients to get involved in, including trips out in the minibus.
